About this treasure
This beautiful hand painted floral dish itself is a little piece of art. The scroll work, possibly karat gold trimming and scalloped edges mimic rather faithfully its Victorian predecessors. The gold still sparkles as if brand new.

Use it for your stationery, spare coins, reading glasses, candies and sweets, jewelry display or even your business cards at work. This is also a beautiful tray for the reception table on your wedding day.

All we could say is, this tray is definitely a keeper! So difficult to part with...and my heart has just started bleeding...and eyes welling up too...

1950s - 1960s

Condition
Very good vintage condition. It shows signs of wear and use. The flowers are still very vibrant and upon inspection you can see traces of brushstrokes indicating this dish was handpainted and then glazed.

No chips or scratches or even loss of paints are spotted...so far.

Vintage items are supposed to show characters and traits. Think of the long journey through time and places they have travelled, and you will find it easier to let them appear as they are.

Maintenance
Always store or display your tray away from direct sunlight. The back of the tray is not glazed. If you place it on a wooden surface, be sure to lift it up every time you want to move it instead of just pulling/dragging it over, as the porcelain will leave a scratched mark on your furniture.

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and wash with mild detergent if necessary. Do not put inside a dish washer. There is no information whether or not this tray is food safe. You may think of placing a doily paper on top if you are to use it for bread or dry food.

USA
