The Birth of House of Sugar Darlings

Are you like me too? Always finding unexplainable peace and vitality in chaos, like a messy table (be it your dining table or your computer desk), an upturned room filled with materials, cabinets that can never close properly. Having difficulties  remembering where things are, and when they are being unearthed by surprise or by total accidents, endless creativity instantly sparks across your mind?

After a full 22 months as a trained newspaper journalist, my heart suddenly desired something else. Something more colourful, something beautiful. That was in 1999. The journey, however, has been a really bumpy and eventful one until the year 2010, when I finally decided late one night "it's now or never." I had to pursue my dreams.

I feel immensely grateful that I am, today, turning my childhood crafting hobby into a career that spells and sends love across the oceans and the Seven Seas. Without the support of my husband and two daughters (hence the name "Sugar Darlings"), nothing would have been possible.

With the love they show me, I know how important it is to send a message out: Love makes everyone unique. This is the principle I still stand by. Every piece of my designs is created knowing that someday you will pass these beautiful accessories to your future daughters, nieces or friends, knowing that the message of love will be felt and then again spread around, well, until the end of time.
